Wow. Have you ever tried to rebuild a house? Daunting. Have you ever tried to do it with two small kiddos? Now things are getting interesting!

A New Chapter - The Reno Adventure Begins

Well, it's time for a new chapter in the life of the Bodger family. The time has come for us to depart from our loved and wonderful life in Washington D.C. and return home to Reno, Nevada.

The flood of emotions has been almost too much to process, as we are excited to be coming closer to family and old friends; but, we are heartbroken leaving our neighborhood, neighbors, and wonderful friends in our Nation's Capital. As of yesterday, we closed on our wonderful Capitol Hill house. So, we say goodbye to our house and our friends, we love and miss you more than we can ever express in words, and we say hello to Reno, what a temptress you have turned out to be in our lives, constantly drawing us back in with your all you can eat sushi, wonderufl skiing, and georgeous vistas!

Bye little house on Capitol Hill, we will always remember you and love you for all that you were for us!

And, now, on to Reno. Jed has taken a job with the State of Nevada's office of the Attorney General, as general counsel to the Department of Taxation.

The view from Jed's office - not to shabby.

We are living in the Caughlin Ranch area of Reno, backing onto national forest lands, so we won't have neighbors back there, and there will be plenty of space to explore.

View from our back yard - Also not to shabby.

Some more photos of the views from our house:

Not a bad backdrop to do some painting...

The girls looking at the bunny that resides in our backyard. They LOVE Mr. Hoppenphifer.

Cordelia - she was so excited to be in the backyard, she couldn't contain herself.

This is how we see Reno. This is what drew us back, and how we hope to convey the image to our friends back east. A mountain town, nestled in the Sierra Nevada mountains, just minutes from Lake Tahoe, and some of the world's finest skiing.

This is how Reno is typically portrayed (still not to shabby - in case your wondering, that's the theme of this post - "not too shabby").

As a side note, since we are back in Reno, we are thinking about changing the name of the blog. Please post suggested names in the comments, and hopefully we'll figure out a new name for the next post!

Hope everyone is well!

Love,

Jed, Tiffany, Imogen, Cordelia, and of course, Two
