Wow. Have you ever tried to rebuild a house? Daunting. Have you ever tried to do it with two small kiddos? Now things are getting interesting!

Walk, Slide, Read

Walking the dog to the park...

Made it to the little park slide...

Look at that smile...equal parts excitement and terror.

She got over any fear, really quickly and is now are little daredevil.

Back home, the infant seat which Imogen once hated has not become her favorite lounge chair to read her books.

12 Month Monument

Wow, what a difference a year makes...

In honor of Imogen's first birthday, we thought we'd stroll down to the Capitol and some pictures of her...much like we did when she was one month old.

We grabbed the stroller

Leashed up the dog

Bundled up the little one

Stopped for a tasty bevie at the local 7-Eleven (these are in honor of you Pops).

And had a breakfast picnic on the Capital lawn.

We survived the first year! Yay!

And, so did our trusty sidekick. It's been a tough year for The Two having to share center stage. Love you, pooch

Iggy loves to fly...

So, the day after he birthday, Iggy was one exhausted baby girl.

The next morning. She was a little more rested.

Iggy got all these great toys and only wanted to play with the box they came in...

Birthday Time

Last weekend the grandmas and Auntie Wee Wee descended upon DC to celebrate Imogen's 1st Birthday. We had a good time just hanging out, heading to the zoo, eating yummy cupcakes, and just enjoying everyone's company.

Heading to the zoo.

Irene found her donkeys... sadly she couldn't ride them while drinking beer and eating cupcakes. But, beggars can't be choosers.

Iggy loved the "dunkeys" too.

Imogen also loved the Lion Faced Golden Tamarins (aka small mokeys)

Jed was partial to the big cats.

Creepy mannequin

Back home and enjoying some cocktails.

Imogen loved Papa John and Grandma Seldon's card.

She also loved the hummus.

Present time...

It took her a while to figure out this present business.

At some point, all she wanted to do was play with the wrapping paper...
Until she got onto her new bumblebee. Then she realized that this present thing wasn't too bad...

Time to make a birthday wish. Yummy Georgetown cupcakes!

Just like her presents, Imogen wasn't super excited about the cupcakes...until she got the hang of it.

Everyone got in on the cupcake action.

Vanilla/Vanilla + Red Velvet = DELICIOUS!!

Iggy was SO exhausted after her big birthday celebration, and devouring her birthday cupcake.

All done.
