After we had the massive 30+ inches of snow, we were graced with yet another snow storm which dropped more snow. There were more snow days from work and more shoveling. All in all, we handled the snow with ease. Here are a few shots of the Snow-bama, the Sequel.
Our front yard.
Two maneuvering the ginormous piles of snow.
Iggy was cozy inside reading the funnies...in her Yoda hat.

- Wow. Have you ever tried to rebuild a house? Daunting. Have you ever tried to do it with two small kiddos? Now things are getting interesting!

Imogen's Room
Awhile ago we published a post of Iggy's (Jambi's) room in transformation. We recently found these photos of the room when we first bought the house. The room was creepy with orange shag carpet, water damaged ceiling tiles, and many deadbolts on the door. It was a nasty room. So, obviously we decided it should be a nursery.
Before shots:
Check out that carpet.
And, dirty walls
After shots:
We changed the creepy, deadbolt door out for this vintage-paned door. Grandma BB painted it and Noni (Grandma Linda) made curtains to give Iggy a bit of privacy.
Crazy what a little work and imagination will do for a space.
Broccoli and Tofu v. Bacon and Corndog. An epic battle
Imogen's pink closet. We changed out the closet door to match the other door.
Ben and Steph gave us this awesome picture for Iggy. It's amazing. Thanks guys!!!
As you can see, Iggy loves to hang out in her room...as does the dog.

Bathtime with Iggs
Imogen loves her some bath time. If she's screaming or just plain fussy, she calms right down and has herself a good ol' time. The water is like a reset button for her (and for her parents).
Imogen being introduced to some devil duckies.
She wasn't sure how much she liked sharing her bath with these creatures.
Chil-laxing
Having a stare down with the pink duck.

SNOW-BAMA 2010
To say we've been hit with a lot of snow is an understatement. We are buried in it. 30 inches last weekend and today we are facing blizzard conditions with accumulations of 10 to 15 inches. It's freaking crazy!! Although we were a home bound for most of the weekend, we did manage to dig out and enjoy the outside on Saturday for a bit .
Jed digging out early Saturday morning. We had to shovel a few more times that day with comparable amounts of snow.
Imogen supervising the dig out. She's a task master.
Two trudging through the deep snow early Saturday morning... This was half of what we got over the weekend.
Our view from the warm confines of the couch.
Out and about.
People cruising the streets. There's only so much time you can spend cooped up indoors.
Snowball fight at Lincoln Park.
Two wanting in on the action...sort of.
Iggy being a trouper and keeping her dad warm. She's a nuclear reactor.
Street views.
Iggy was SO over it by the time we got home.
With Ry babysitting the kid and having dug ourselves out, we made it to the Capitals v. Penguins hockey game. It was an AMAZING game with the Caps winning in overtime and Ovie scoring a hat trick. Go Caps! We loved this posted of Sidney Crosby. In case you can't tell, it's Crosby in a crib. Classic.

Home Brew
A couple of years ago, Tiff got a beer making kit for Jed. Not having the opportunity or the space to use it, Jed let it collect dust until late last year (2009). Now that we are relatively settled in our house and have a few nooks and crannies to store all the equipment needed for the process, Jed has jumped into brewing with extreme excitement. Jed's first batch, The Iggy Brown Ale, was a success, evidenced by the fact that it has already been consumed. Last weekend, we bottled his second batch, The Blue Ginger Superior Strong Ale. (Armed with the confidence from the successful outcome of his first batch, Jed decided to mix things up and add notes of blueberries and ginger to the ale.) We'll let you know how it turns out next weekend since the bottled beer needs to carbonate for another week. We also spent last weekend making a traditional Altbier (no special name for this one yet).
