Wow. Have you ever tried to rebuild a house? Daunting. Have you ever tried to do it with two small kiddos? Now things are getting interesting!

Belly Watch 2009!!!

Week 37 and counting. Wow, can that really be true?! Only 3 more weeks until D Day?! And, Jed and I are almost as ready as we'll ever be. When I think back to when Jed and I first learned that we were going to have a baby, it seems like forever ago. It's been quite a ride thus far: from hearing the baby's heartbeat for the first time, to getting to see Jambi through the 3D ultrasound imagines and sharing that experience with some of her future grandparents, to learning that Jambi was a she, to feeling her seemingly acrobatics and ninja moves in my belly, and seeing my belly grow and grow.

And, Jed has been such an integral part of this experience: always patient through my emotional ups and downs, ready with a plastic bag through the five plus months of morning sickness, willing to work out my constant back spasms, there to rub my legs, quick to "play" with Jambi and ever present to marvel at her movements and her growth. I could not have gotten this far without him, and so I wanted to take this moment to thank him for all that he is and everything he has done. I am damn lucky to have found such a wonderful man to share all of life's moments with. Jed, you are going to be a phenomenal father. You are amazing with a capital 'A" and I love you with all my heart. Love, Tiff

Irene's Visit

A few weeks ago, my lil sis came to visit her big sibs.
Ry took her to the Mall where they went through a few of the Smithsonian museums, Baltimore to see the National Aquarium, and to old town Alexandria.
We took her to Eastern Market. Shopping in Georgetown
and to look at the art cars at the H
Street Festival.
Ry even got to flex his teaching muscles and help Irene out with her Econ homework.

All in all, it was a ton of fun to have her in town.

Nats Last Home Game

Last week, Jed and I played hooky one afternoon and headed to the Nationals final home game. It was a tough season for the Nats (an understatement to say the least) and made apparent by the lack luster attendance. To their credit, the Nats were able to pull it out with a walk off grand slam home run in the last inning, winning the game 7-4.

One of our favorite Nationals game time events is the president's race which happens in the fourth inning. My favorite is the lovable loser Teddy Roosevelt, who has never won one race. (http://blog.letteddywin.com/). Jed's favorites are tied between Teddy and Abe (as in Abe Lincoln).

Halloween Costume Poll - the Two!

Sweet! Look at these costumes (more importantly, look how amicable this freaking dog is, just letting us dress her up for our own enjoyment ... what a trooper!)

Vote for your favorite!!!

We Love the Two!

So, we are paying homage' to the Two this week. She's not getting quite as much attention as she would like, what with Jambi's arrival becoming more and more immenent, so we are going to give her a little love here on the blog.
Share your favorite stories about the Two in the comments section. Also, coming soon (aka whenever we get the photos uploaded) halloween costume poll for the two, so stay tuned!

Get the Puck out of Here!

Well, it's hockey season again and you know what that means, the Caps are back at the Verizon center ... AWESOME! Saturday Tiffany and I made our first regular season game, where the Caps defeated the Toronto Maple Leaves by the score of a lot to a little. The game was great (as they always are)
we had friends in attendance (rob and Nicole, they're getting married soon, so wish them well) and it was just generally a great way to cap off a day of learning about child-birth (oh, did i forget to mention that we spent 9 hours at a birthing class at Georgetown hospital ... wait for it ... it was ... legendary!) - That's Rob in the white hat, and Nicole next to him

Other big news for the caps this season, they have decided to use some stock footage from last season for shots of the fans on their video board, including yours truly (this is jed by the by) full front and center.
The only thing I have to say is why didn't any of you tell me that I looked this old. Oh well, come out to meet the little girl when she arrives, and we'll go to a hockey game! Speaking of the little girl, she went to the game too!
